We are investing heavily in our fin-tech offering targeting Europe with launches expected this and next year.
Opera Sweden is looking for ambitious developers with a passion for technology to join our mobile team in Gothenburg, Sweden. Experimenting with new technology is in our DNA and our mobile team is constantly trying to find better ways to build quality apps. In our current project we have chosen to go with a TypeScript, React Native, Redux stack and invested in continuous integration through Jenkins and test automation using the popular Jest and Detox frameworks. Product quality and iteration speed are crucial to building successful apps and we believe writing tests should be a natural part of the development process.
You will be working in a mobile team of about 10 developers with an agile workflow. You will be part of design reviews, sprint planning, weekly sprints, continuous integration and retrospectives. You will build fresh fin-tech apps using React Native and write tests for your code. The team is distributed over three locations but focused in Gothenburg. You will be collaborating closely with local and remote QA and with backend, product management and design in Estonia and Poland.
We expect You to have:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Work experience (at least a previous internship) in a web or mobile development team
- Experience with React Native using Typescript and/or Javascript
- A self drive to learn and develop your own skills and to be open to feedback
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and good communication skills
An ideal candidate has:
- Experience with Redux
- Experience in test automation using Detox and Jest
- Familiarity with native mobile app development on iOS and Android
- 1-3 years of work experience or more
