Opera is building a new gaming platform that will reach our millions of daily browser users. Together with our sister company Yoyo Games and our gaming browser team (Opera GX) we aim to bring user generated multiplayer games to the masses straight in the browser.

This is an opportunity to join our team in Gothenburg Sweden, which has a unicorn track-record, to build the next big thing. You will work on the technology that will power low-code multiplayer games, remixed games and massive tournaments.

We are looking for developers with a passion for technology and a proven track record in the games industry working with multiplayer games or operations of multiplayer hosting on a large scale.

Experimenting with new technology is in our DNA and our team is constantly cooperating to find better ways to build quality products. Quality and iteration speed are crucial to building successful products and we believe that automated testing should be a natural part of the development pipeline.

We expect You to have:

  • At least 2 years of working experience in the area
  • Strong multiplayer engineering skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Self drive to develop new skills

An ideal candidate is currently living in Gothenburg or willing to relocate, though we are open to discuss remote positions for the right candidate.
