We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join the development team with focus on news recommender systems that provide services to millions of users with a news feed in the browser.

Role & Responsibilities

  • This role is on a small team developing a news service for millions of users.
  • It is a rewarding and challenging position that requires both personal and technical skills.

Ideal Candidate’s Profile

  • Experience with Puppet, Apache and nginx as a load balancer.
  • Used to working independently with a responsibility for many servers.
  • Attention to detail and deep technical knowledge.
  • Experience with Apache Solr, reading Python code and understanding Python backtraces.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
