About the position

We are looking for a highly motivated Programmatic Yield Manager to join our Mobile Monetisation team to help scale our growing advertising business. The main responsibility of this role will be to improve the overall yield for our mobile properties which involves 1) daily optimisation of the ad configurations across multiple demand sources, 2) maintaining the integrity of the internal waterfall and client configurations alongside the ad server, client, and trafficking teams, and 3) supporting the Yield Optimisation Director in developing additional revenue streams through the ad implementations via new mobile properties, demand partner integrations, and ad formats.

As a Programmatic Yield Manager you will be reporting to the Yield Optimisation Director and is expected to have a deep understanding of the mobile advertising landscape in order to play a key role in driving increased efficiency in monetisation through our mobile portfolio. You will be self-sufficient across the major third party ad network consoles including (Google Ad Manager, AdMob, Facebook Audience Network, and AdSense), and possess the ability to understand complex end-to-end ad systems including our proprietary Opera Ads and ad server stack in order to work with multiple stakeholders including the engineering, analytics and ad operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Improve the yield through daily optimisation of pricing and ad configurations across multiple demand sources.
  • Effectively communicate ad performance trends that impact revenue to the executive team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the internal waterfall and client configurations alongside the ad server, client, and trafficking teams
  • Identify and highlight with client, ad server, or ad operations teams key areas of improvements and provide insights into potential growth opportunities.
  • Coordinating with the analytics team to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.
  • Work closely with the Yield Optimisation Director in developing additional revenue streams through the ad implementations via new mobile properties, demand partner integrations, and ad formats by facilitating any necessary testing and QA with all relevant teams.
  • Collaborate with the ad operations team to troubleshoot issues to ensure all direct campaigns and self-serve campaigns run smoothly.
  • Run, manage, and analyse A/B tests which may be required for yield optimisation or testing new client/demand partner changes.
  • Assist in monthly financial reconciliation for 3rd party demand partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in in-app mobile monetisation.
  • Deep understanding of ad tech, programmatic advertising and web technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and social skills.
  • Ability to communicate and document processes and analysis, and clearly communicate results to technical and non-technical staff.
  • Comfortable interacting with sales teams and occasionally with external partners.
  • A high level of organization and prioritization; must be able to assess and assign priority to multiple goals, and clearly communicate timelines.
  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast paced, fluid environment.
  • The ability to absorb complex technical and commercial information.
