About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Marketing Manager to join the Opera Marketing team and lead the execution of all marketing activities and incentives for our exciting new project connecting our Opera GX players together with our GameMaker creators.

This is an independent role that will report directly to the Product Marketing Director but will have cross team collaboration at heart. This role will work closely with the GX.games product team and within marketing the creative, paid ads, influencers and social media teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the GX.games brand positioning and communication strategy
  • Drive traffic from the activities created for Opera GX users and external traffic through dedicated activities
  • Create a growth strategy and execute it for dedicated segment(s)
  • Keep on top of current trends and research new segments to grow
  • Understand and be able to analyse market trend to position our brand
  • Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback of new, existing and potential users

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with gaming communities, marketing of games and engagement driven campaigns
  • Understanding of gaming industry and gaming audience
  • Proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager, Marketing Manager, or Brand Manager for gaming products.
  • Proven history of creating effective campaigns (user acquisition oriented)
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns).
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Data Studio)
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
