As Product Marketing Manager you will be working within our Product Marketing and Product team to support Opera’s ongoing and new marketing projects with a focus on the African market.

The ideal candidate is based in any of the following countries: Nigeria, Kenya or South Africa. (If it is your case we encourage you to apply!)

Key responsibilities

Leverage In-depth knowledge of African Markets (Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana) to:

  • Develop and test user acquisition and retention strategies, including key activities and budgets.
  • Define product positioning to communicate the value proposition.
  • Maximize conversion rate, retention rate, and customer lifetime value
  • Collaborate with the product team to identify user segments and their behavior patterns to tailor product functionality.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop innovative programs that drive demand.
  • Assess the effectiveness of our marketing programs on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
  • Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Active co-creation of product strategy


  • 2-5 years working experience as a Product Marketing Manager for a digital product or similar role
  • Familiarity with relevant marketing channels in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana
  • Proficiency with Marketing automation tools
  • Deep understanding of acquisition KPIs and complex funnels
  • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities
